About Your Teacher

HELLO!  I look forward to an enjoyable year filled with many memorable experiences.  I’d like to share some information about me with you.  My name is Christina Navarro Lisberg.  This is my 19th year as a classroom teacher. I graduated from California State University at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and a Minor in Geography and Urban Analysis. I earned a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from National University with a specialization in Best Practices.  I hold a Professional Clear Multiple Subject teaching credential through the state of California .

I have been happily married to my best friend for almost 16 years (together for 25 years). I have two boys whom I adore. Since becoming a parent, I have learned that consistency and routines are essential for children at school as well as at home.  During the little free time I have, I am a certified soccer coach through Cal South. I have played soccer for 20+ years. I currently play in the West Covina Women’s League.  I like staying active with my family.  Unfortunately, I love to eat, and Tommy’s Original Cheeseburgers are my favorite guilty pleasure.

I have been a member of our PTA Executive Board for many years as the Teacher Representative and Secretary. I have served as the coordinator of Red Ribbon Week, a member of the Safe and Drug Free Schools, District Math committee, and District Technology committee.  I have served as the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of our School Site Counsel.  I am also very proud to mention that I have received an Honorary Service Award and Teacher of the Year.

I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I have been fortunate to have had the pleasure of teaching children of all ages, as well as adults. I love the growth I see in the many wonderful students that pass through my classroom.  Some of my greatest accomplishments as well as compliments have come in the form of an invitation to some of my Kindergarten students high school graduation.  I thank you in advance for the trust you place in me with your precious little ones.  I always remember to treat your children the way I want a teacher to treat my sons.
